Its Going To Be A Cinderella Summer!Mean old step-mother got you down? Still haven't found your Prince Charming? Or maybe you just have a case of those Summertime blues? In any case, we have just the answer: do something new, something fun, something unexpected. Come be a part of our “Cinderella Summer”--the Walnut Lodge's 11th annual Summer arts program at Buhl Park that runs from June 28th thru August 1st. With many different classes to choose from, you can take anything from tap and jazz, to acting or ballet, all in the beautifully restored Buhl Park Casino. There are several exciting performance opportunities as well, so enroll now because the class sizes are limited!This year we'll put on two very different productions of the classic tale. One will be the staging of Serge Prokofief's classic ballet which has parts for many different levels of performers. Auditions for advanced dancers proficient in pointe work will be held on Monday June 28 The other will be for younger participants (ages 7-14). Our own original adaptation, “Rocker Ella,” will tell the same story with some serious Rockabilly attitude. For this production, we'll need singers, dancers, and actors. Auditions will be held on Monday June 28th from 12-2pm. Rehearsal will run Mondays-Thursdays from 12-2pm. It will be performed on Friday July 23rd at 7pm in the Buhl Park Casino.
